According to a research study led by scientists from the University of California, La Jolla, and published in the Nutrition Journal 2017,entitled Walnut Consumption in a Weight Reduction Intervention Effects on Body Weight, Biological Measufes, Blood Pressure and Satiety (Feeling full), showed that by adding walnuts to a diet can accomplish all these benefits.
100 non-diabetic subjects were divided into two groups. One group had walnuts added to their diet, the other did not.
Both groups because of a controlled diet for the non walnut eaters lost weight, BMI, and waist circumference for the first 3 months. Only the walnut eating group sustained the loss for 6 months. After 6 months dropped their total cholesterol from 203 to 194, and their bad cholesterol (LDL) from 121 to 112.
So eat Walnus, lose weight and feel full. Walnuts also reduce Blood Pressure and Cholesterol.
