A trial reported in the Journal Pain Physician in its Jan-Feb 2017 edition, showed that when 68 men and women who had chronic lower back pain for at least three months, who did not respond to drugs or physical therapy were given 6,000n iu of Vitamin D3 (The natural form) orally once per week for eight weeks, 66% of the patients improved at two, three and six months.
Their pain and disability scores improved compared to their original scores.
