Scientists at Mayo Clinic analyzed 46 studies involving more than 1000 people and found that six hours of standing burns an extra 54 calories per day. In a year that could amount to a loss of 5.5 pounds. Those who continued for 3 years, lost 22 pounds.
My advise is if you sit 12 hours a day, by cutting this in half and standing for six hours, you can lose a significant amount of weight, without changing your eating habits.
